We offer neuropsychological evaluations for youth with complex medical histories.

Neuropsychological evaluations involve detailed assessment of cognitive, social, and emotional/behavioral functioning. Assessment findings are integrated with information about brain-behavior relationships and development to identify strengths and vulnerabilities, provide diagnostic clarification, and tailor recommendations (e.g., interventions, school supports, etc.).

Goals of these evaluations may include:

Clarifying how a youth’s medical history relates to their functioning.
Monitoring progress during medical treatment.
Identifying changes in functioning following medical events.
Tracking the developmental impact of medical/genetic conditions.

Neuropsychological evaluations are the standard of care for many medical conditions, and Dr. Clawson works closely with medical teams to communicate assessment findings.
