LGBTQ+ and Neurodiverse

Dr. Clawson offers evaluations to support LGBTQ+ and neurodiverse youth. A primary purpose of these evaluations is to enhance knowledge of a youth’s unique way of thinking to remove barriers, reach goals, and assist with access to supports.
Goals of these evaluations may include:
-
Assessing identity development
-
Identifying individual goals (e.g., for social transition, identity, etc.)
-
Identifying protective/risk factors
-
Clarifying identity-related needs
Who would benefit from this type of evaluation?
This type of evaluation is useful for youth who already have diagnoses of autism and/or ADHD and who need support navigating LGBTQ+ related needs and goals.
Dr. Clawson sees youth with a variety of identities and experiences, including youth

Dr. Clawson works to create safe, affirming spaces for youth and families. Her goal is to welcome all questions, concerns, and goals. She maintains openness to multiple perspectives, cultural backgrounds, and gender pathways that may unfold over time.
